New cop to educate public on cyber crime

Anchorage police are creating a new job in the Crimes Against Children Unit -- a cyber crimes prevention specialist who will help educate the public on the dangers on the Internet. The person will also maintain records and reports for the unit. The position will be funded by federal grant money through the Alaska Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, of which APD is a founding member.
