PALMER -- A Wasilla man injured in a single-vehicle crash last weekend has died, according to Alaska State Troopers.
Troopers say Joshua A. Brown, 29, died Wednesday morning of injuries inflicted in the accident on the Old Glenn Highway on Saturday.
The crash took place at about Mile 10 just before 6 a.m., when a 2001 Honda Accord driven by Edward N. Domrude II, 23, of Wasilla, left the road, troopers said. It appeared Domrude lost control of the northbound vehicle on a curve, troopers said.
The car slid into a ditch, flipped and then came to rest upside-down on the road, troopers said.
Domrude managed to climb out, but Brown was entrapped, troopers said. Domrude and Brown were taken by ambulance to Mat-Su Regional Medical Center, and Brown was later transferred to Alaska Regional hospital.
Troopers say alcohol and prescription medications appear to have been factors in the crash, but toxicology reports are pending. The investigation is continuing.
