(Unalaska Advertiser): "Trespass - Vessel captain requested assistance removing a crewman, who had been fired after he bragged about stealing property from the last vessel on which he had worked. An officer issued a trespass advisement to the man and stood by while he removed belongings, allegedly his own, from the boat. Burglary - Samuel A. Wisner, 32, of Adak, was arrested for Burglary II and Theft II after an officer determined he was in possession of numerous items, including a flat screen TV, a DVD player, a welder and numerous tools, which had been stolen from the last vessel on which he had been employed."

TALKEETNA RESIDENTS WITHOUT RUNNING WATER FACE DILEMMA (KTNA): Things might get a little rank in downtown Talkeetna this month. The owner of Talkeetna Roadhouse has had to tell local residents that her shower service is ending. With tourists and climbers showing up, the roadhouse can't serve residents who don't have shower and laundry facilities of their own. The situation should ease in June as other facilities become available.

FOREST FAIR MAY BE BYOB THIS YEAR (Anchorage Press): If organizers of the Girdwood Forest Fair get their way, liquor stores in the area will have to close shop by 6 p.m. each day during the fair (scheduled for Independence Day weekend this year). New security plans for the Forest Fair this year also include patrols by private security officers, according to the sponsors' Facebook page.

TWEETS FROM A FAKE DON YOUNG (Conservatives4Palin): As Gov. Palin opened her Twitter account this week, someone pretending to be Rep. Don Young was also tweeting. A Palin-following blog got hold of the fake Young posts before the account was suspended. Sample: "Sarah Palin are you on Twitter? I'm in DC right now. Is it cold back home?"
