BUTTE -- A New York man wanted on a felony warrant for robbery was found hiding out in a Butte residence this week, according to Alaska State Troopers.

Michael Baranovics, 25, was found Thursday morning trying to hide in a crawl space at the home, troopers said. He was finally "coaxed out with the use of pepper spray," troopers reported.
Baranovics was taken to the Mat-Su Pre-Trial Facility, where he was being held without bail while he awaits extradition to New York, troopers said.
