The deadline to file was Monday.

Karen Lechner of the Permanent Fund Dividend Division says they've already received about 607,000 applications, and are expecting almost 25,000 more to arrive in the mail.

She says that would be a record amount of applications. Last year, there were almost 629,000 applications.

Eligible applicants that applied online in January for direct deposit will get paid Oct. 2. All those who signed up later for direct despot get paid Oct. 16.

Paper checks go into the mail starting Nov. 14.

The 2008 dividend amount will be announced in September. Last year's amount was $1,654.
