A man accused of shooting his girlfriend to death in Akiachak has been arrested on a charge of first-degree murder, according to Alaska State Troopers.

Moses T. George, 53, is accused of shooting his girlfriend, Agnus Williams, 44,about 11 p.m. Thursday while they were at their home drinking, troopers said.
They began to argue, and things escalated until George shot Williams, troopers said.
George is being held at Bethel's Yukon-Kuskokwim Correctional Center in connection with the shooting, troopers said.
