BETHEL - Alaska State Troopers say an Alakanuk man has died in a house fire.

The Alakanuk Police Department told troopers that the body of 64-year-old Charles Clyde Smith was found in the remains of the house. The fire occurred Monday.
Police say the fire appeared to be accidental.
Alakanuk is a community of about 650 residents on the Yukon River near the Bering Sea coast.
