MOOSE PASS -- A teenage boy from Moose Pass was taken to an Anchorage hospital in critical condition Saturday after a fiery collision between a motorcycle and pickup on the Seward Highway

Troopers said motorcyclist Donald Smith, 16, ran a stop sign while attempting to cross the highway where it intersects with Road 3532, near Milepost 23.
When he entered the highway, Smith was hit by a Ford pickup driven by Brian Morris, 37, of Moose Pass.
Both vehicles caught fire, troopers said.
Smith was taken by ambulance to Seward Providence Medical Center in Seward and later was flown to the Alaska Native Medical Center in Anchorage, according to troopers.
