A construction worker who got briefly stuck in a conveyor belt was hospitalized this afternoon with serious injuries to his head and chest, according to the Anchorage Fire Department. The man, who was not immediately identified, was injured near C Street and Raspberry Road. The conveyor belt trapped the worker for about a minute, fire spokesman Tom Kempton said.
The accident happened at Quality Asphalt Paving on West 68th Avenue.
