The mysterious death of a woman found on the deck of a Jewel Lake home in March was not a homicide as originally suspected. The cause of Mia Soltis' death, confirmed through an autopsy, was exposure with alcohol and drugs as contributing factors, police Lt. Paul Honeman said Wednesday.
Soltis, 47, had gone to a party in the West Anchorage neighborhood after leaving her job as a dancer at the Crazy Horse strip club about 1 a.m. March 29, Honeman said. Her purse was found in the street later that morning by a passer-by, and her body was found the next day on the deck of a home in the 6500 block of Thurman Drive by a person going door to door.
It appears Soltis had left the party and gotten hypothermic, Honeman said.
Police did not release what drugs were in her system.
