FAIRBANKS -- Residents of Fairbanks and Anderson reported a small earthquake early Wednesday morning.
The Alaska Earthquake Information Center reports that the temblor had a preliminary magnitude of 3.85 and was located at a depth of about 14 miles. It occurred at 2:12 a.m. and was centered about 13 miles west of Nenana.
Another small quake, magnitude 3.62, was recorded at 3:37 a.m. about 60 miles west of Willow.
The center did not receive any reports of damage.
Earthquakes magnitude 2.5 and smaller occur many times a day across Alaska. Most are not felt.
