Police are looking for the culprit who set a homeless man's pants on fire when he passed out near Sullivan Arena in the midst of a large gathering in the woods, according to Anchorage police.
The victim, who was not named, passed out after drinking Tuesday evening sometime between 7 and 9 p.m., police Lt. Paul Honeman said. At that point, a drinking companion -- one of up to 20 there at the time -- "decided it would be funny" to light paper on fire and place it on the man, he said.
The fire, however, quickly grew and left the man's pants and midsection burned, Honeman said. It was unclear if any accelerant was used.
