A woman who tried to smuggle a pound of marijuana through Anchorage Ted Stevens International Airport to Lower Kalskag has been arrested on drug charges, according to Alaska State Troopers.
Josephine Nook, 25, was taken into custody Oct. 16 after officers with the Alaska Bureau of Alcohol and Drug Enforcement found the pot, which she intended to sell, troopers said.
Nook was booked at the Anchorage jail on a charge of fourth-degree misconduct involving a controlled substance.
