The victim, whose injuries were not life-threatening, was transported to Cross Roads Medical Center in Glennallen.

Suspect Jamie Gilbert, 25, of Chitina, turned himself in after troopers contacted him by phone, said troopers spokeswoman Megan Peters.

Gilbert was arrested and held at the Glennallen Jail.

The lodge, at Mile 79 Richardson Highway near Kenny Lake, is across the road from a section of the trans-Alaska oil pipeline.
