Angie Ann Minnick, 30, is wanted for probation violations stemming from original charges of theft and scheming to defraud, police said.

Police said Minnick steals checks, sometimes during burglaries, and uses fake IDs to forge the checks before their owners realize they have been stolen, usually within 24 hours.

Her handiwork has appeared across Anchorage, Eagle River and Mat-Su, police said. She frequents convenience stores and often buys pre-paid gift cards.

Minnick is described as white, 5 feet 10 inches tall and 200 pounds, with blond hair and blue eyes. Anyone with information about her whereabouts is asked to call police at 786-2448.
