Meteorologists are warning of blizzard conditions in eastern Turnagain Arm and western Prince William Sound, including Seward and Whittier through 4 p.m. today.
"Whittier's been getting some pretty good winds, gusts of up to 75 miles per hour," National Weather Service meteorologist Todd Foisy said this morning.
But a blizzard warning for the Anchorage side of Turnagain Arm has been called off, he said.
Meantime, Anchorage saw seven-and-a-half inches of snow on Christmas Day, said meteorologist Dan Peterson.
