Argument leads to stabbing

A Perryville man is facing a charge of attempted murder after he allegedly stabbed another in the back during an alcohol-fueled argument, according to Alaska State Troopers. Frank Tague, 45, was booked into jail in King Salmon last Thursday, and also charged with first- and fourth-degree assault, troopers said.

The attack took place the night of Feb. 4, when troopers heard a man had been stabbed and was being treated at the village clinic while he awaited medevac by a Coast Guard helicopter.

The 44-year-old victim, who troopers didn't name, was taken to Kodiak with injuries that did not appear life-threatening, troopers said.
