Water there was still contained to its banks Friday afternoon, and water levels appeared to have crested, officials said.

The service reported widespread flooding between Pilot Station and Holy Cross. In Russian Mission, which had been inundated, water levels were slowly falling, the service said. Its runway was starting to dry out but remained unusable.

Low-lying portions of Marshall were under water, with the road to the airport impassable.

A significant ice run was passing St. Marys, causing ice and water to back up the Andreafsky River, the service said.

A flood warning was in effect until 5:30 p.m. today from Russian Mission to 30 miles below Mountain Village. A flood watch was in effect through Monday afternoon below that to the Bering Sea.
