Volunteers of America Alaska will hold "Doctor in the House," a talent show and fundraiser featuring local health care professionals, at 7 p.m. Saturday at the Anchorage Museum at Rasmuson Center.

The Alaska organization opened the Adolescent Residential Center for Help in 1981 for youths struggling with drug abuse, and over the years expanded its services to intensive outpatient treatment, prevention and intervention; support for grandparents raising grandchildren and families affected by fetal alcohol spectrum disorder; juvenile justice case management; and programs that offer volunteer opportunities for seniors and give 50,000 new books to disadvantaged children each year.

Saturday's event will include dinner by the Marx Brothers, dancing, a silent auction and entertainment that ranges from opera to salsa dance. Tickets cost $135 each or two for $250.

Performers, sponsors and volunteers are still needed; call Lee Pulliam, 279-9648, or visit www.drinthehouse2006.info for more information.
