ARRESTS

Warrant - Jesse Huber, 21, of Wasilla, Nov. 9, 12:02 a.m., failing to appear, $500 bail

INCIDENTS

Theft - Maria Kinikin, 30, of Wasilla at 9 a.m. Nov. 8 reported her 30GB white iPod video player was stolen between 8:45 a.m. and 9:20 a.m. Nov. 7 from her classroom at Wasilla High School. Anyone with any information is asked to contact police at 352-5401 or Mat-Su Crime Stoppers at 745-3333. A reward may be available for information.

Forgery - Seth Kilgore, 20, of Wasilla at 12:04 p.m. Nov. 8 reported that someone had forged his signature, resulting in a $700 debt. The investigation is ongoing.

Burglary, assault - Joshua Elliott, 19, of Wasilla, at 3:37 a.m. Nov. 9 reported a white male adult came to his home on West Spruce Avenue at approximately 2 a.m. and accused Elliott of ripping him off for drugs. The male told Elliott he wanted $300 dollars or cocaine. Elliott denied owing the male any money or drugs and the told the male to leave. The male threw a ceramic bowl at Elliott and then pushed him before leaving. Elliott did not know the male. The investigation continues.

INCIDENTS

Theft - Troopers responded at 6:19 a.m. Nov. 16 to a report of a 1999 black Polaris RMK snowmachine stolen from a Ward Street, Wasilla, business. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 745-3333 or troopers at 373-8300 or 745-2131.

Collision with injuries - Troopers responded at 11:25 a.m. Nov. 16 to a two-vehicle collision at Parks Highway and Buttercup Drive, Wasilla. Ambyre Camos, 19 of Anchorage was turning left onto Parks from Buttercup in her 2002 Dodge Intrepid and failed to yield to oncoming traffic. Paula Jones, 50 of Wasilla was eastbound on the Parks when her 2002 Kia collided with the Dodge. Both drivers reported wearing seat belts. Jones was treated for minor injuries at Mat-Su Regional Medical Center. Troopers took her dog to the Big Lake vet clinic. Camos was cleared by medics on scene. Damage to both vehicles is estimated to be $10,000. Camos was cited for failure to yield.

Death investigation - Troopers responded at 5:56 p.m. Nov. 16 to Killarney Drive, Palmer, where Everett Walter Brighton, 86, died of apparent natural causes.

Collision with moose - Troopers responded at 7:10 p.m. Nov. 16 to Mile 49.6 Parks Highway, where Rex Hanson, 46, eastbound in a 2000 GMC Yukon, struck one of three moose that walked onto the highway. Hanson and a passenger were wearing seat belts and were uninjured. Damage to his vehicle was $5,000. The moose was salvaged by a local charity.
