The Anchorage School District has announced new principal assignments for next school year, approved Monday at the Anchorage School Board meeting. The new assignments are:
• Michelle Prince, currently the principal at Tudor Elementary, will move to Bear Valley Elementary.
• Patricia Daugherty, currently an assistant principal at Mountain View and Williwaw elementary schools, will become principal at Chinook Elementary.
• Theresa Owens, currently the director of Special Education and Assessment in King Salmon, will become principal at Creekside Park.
• Jon Forbes, currently principal at Chinook, will move to Eagle Academy Charter.
• Marcus Wilson, currently the acting principal at North Star Elementary, will become principal there.
• Kristina Bellamy, currently an assistant principal at Muldoon and Rogers Park elementary schools, will be principal of Tudor Elementary.
• And Linda Carlson, currently the principal at Bear Valley Elementary, will take over as the executive director of Elementary Education beginning July 1.
