State fines group behind campaign ballot measure

One of the largest financial backers of Ballot Measure 1 -- which would prohibit the use of public funds for lobbying or campaigning -- has been fined nearly $340,000 for late campaign spending reports.

    Legislative panel reprimands lawmaker for comments

    The Legislature's Ethics Committee has found probable cause that Sen. Albert Kookesh broke state ethics law by implying he would deny state funding to Craig if the City Council there opposed a bill to give land to the Native corporation he works for.
