A new chamber music event will take place in Anchorage next week, presented by the Anchorage Fine Arts Society. The event opens with a concert by the Scott Chamber Players from Indiana at 7:30 p.m. Monday at Central Lutheran Church. They will perform selected movements from works by Mahler, Chopin, Brahms and Prokofiev among others. A house concert will take place 8 p.m. Wednesday and a concert including Shostakovich's Piano Quintet and Brahms' Piano Quartet in G minor will take place 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the Alyeska Hotel, repeated the following day at the Anchorage Museum. Donations of $15 are requested, $10 for students and seniors.
