Slideshow: Police to use unmarked volunteer patrols to nab drunken drivers

Durr and her friend Brooke McPheters were killed last Friday, August 9, 2013 in south Anchorage. Anchorage Police Chief Mark Mew announced a plan to deploy over 40 civilian volunteers to prowl the city in unmarked cars, beginning Friday evening, to search for and report drunken drivers.
