As work on the new Town Square in downtown Girdwood draws to a close, owners of businesses that have been coping with construction mess all summer tell the Turnagain Times they're generally pleased with the results. All the new pavement may even be too good, one says. “People are already driving too fast. We’re going to need speed bumps next,” says Julie St. Louis, owner of GRRDwood Pets & Green Goods. New sidewalks will make walking in the area more pleasant. But there are still worries about snowplowing and parking.
