East wins Birdcage Battle cross-country meet over West

Led by individual victories from John Farr and Megan Fink, the East cross-country running team reclaimed the traveling trophy in the Birdcage Battle at Russian Jack, an annual dual meet between East and West. 

The East girls came through with a big race, beating West 20-35 to overcome the East boys losing to West 25-34. East came out on top in the combined score with a 54-60 win. 

 Farr finished the hilly 3-kilometer course in 10 minutes, 7.3 seconds, with Fink winning the girls race in 12:04.7.
