Anchorage snowboarder Rosie Mancari won a Nor-Am snowboardcross race Friday in Sugarloaf, Maine.
It was Mancari's second victory on the North American snowboard circuit, which is one step below World Cup competition.
Mancari's win came on the second day of racing at Sugarloaf. On Thursday, she placed eighth.
Mancari, a 20-year-old South High graduate, has competed in 17 snowboardcross races since recovering from a knee injury suffered at the 2012 World Junior Championships. She owns two victories, four podium finishes and 11 top-10 finishes.
She's the second Alaskan to distinguish herself in snowboardcross. Girdwood's Callan Chythlook-Sifsof competed in the event at the 2010 Winter Olympics and although she didn't qualify for the Sochi Olympics, she remains one of the top American riders.
