Mark Haglin, second from left, the Village Public Safety Officer for Tanana, is debriefed by Alaska State Trooper personnel at the Tanana airstrip on Thursday evening. Haglin responded to a disturbance in the village on Wednesday night, and decided that it needed the attention of the Alaska State Troopers. When two troopers responded the next day, they were shot and killed, Thursday, May 1, 2014.
