Letter: Thanks to kind couple, but many drivers have lost Alaska manners
I would like to thank the couple who took the time to turn around on the Glenn Highway near Eureka and stop to see if they could help me on Sunday.

Letter: KHAR management must not have realized how many listeners it had
As I work in my garage, I am listening to the “sounds of silence” and it is not Simon and Garfunkel. My hands are too dirty to change CD discs. Since KHAR went to sports babble there is not much else to listen to.

Letter: Shannyn Moore wins backing
I find that I am in agreement with both the spirit and most of the substance of Shannyn Moore’s column of Sunday, June 16, which is the first time that has occurred for a very long time. Perhaps if Shannyn would more often support her positions with substantive arguments based on principal...

Letter: If NSA snooping on us heads off terrorist attack, it’s well worth it
Everyday radio, TV, newspapers, Internet services and others issue reports about the horrible snooping the National Security Agency (NSA) does into citizens’ telephone calls, Internet messages, e-mails, etc.

Letter: Downtown post office is missed
It is with some sadness I discovered that the downtown Anchorage post office closed forever May 18. A sign directs patrons to the Eastchester branch. As best I can determine Anchorage has had a downtown Post Office since 1915 when early settlers moved from the banks of Ship Creek up to the bluff...
