It is amazing how quickly Palin Nation can turn on you. Remember the outrage after I questioned how Levi Johnston was accepted into the coveted ASRC apprentice program without meeting the requirements?
Palin enthusiastically practices socialism, Alaska-style
I make a motion that we change the name of our state. Henceforth we should be known as the State of Irony, thanks to Sarah Palin's sashay down the catwalk of national politics.

Investigator's credulous report doesn't put the Troopergate controversy to rest.
EDITORIAL
Alaskans need to see the bipartisan, centrist Sarah Palin, not the highly partisan social conservative who ran for vice-president.

Contrary to an Associated Press report, Alaska's bidding process for a gas line license was not flawed.

Alaska needs to plan for after Nov. 4
It looks all but certain now that our next president will be Barack Obama -- Gov. Palin is coming home. The governor's homecoming will be complicated, and the state's federal relationship cries out for curative attention.
EDITORIAL
Gov. Palin's nomination clearly alters the landscape for Alaskans as we survey this race for the presidency -- but it does not overwhelm all other judgment. The election, after all is said and done, is not about Sarah Palin, and our sober view is that her running mate, Sen. John McCain, is the wrong choice for president at this critical time for our nation.

Palin's faith unnerves liberals in the media
My father's Catholic faith is carrying him through the painful ordeal of dying of cancer. Recently I was driving him home from radiation treatment when all of sudden he changed the subject, his voiced cracked and he began describing how God helps him deal with his physical pain.

Daily News editorial distorted Troopergate inquiry's facts
The "Bottom Line" of the October 20 Daily News editorial was that Alaskans do not need an elected attorney general. That conclusion may be correct, but along the way the editorial also found "plenty of reasons to criticize" me. Those reasons are not supported by the facts.

A costly personal, vindictive Palin vendetta? You betcha
Let's ignore all of the emails, phone calls and sworn testimony from current employees of Governor Palin that show a bizarre obsession with getting the governor's ex brother in law fired. Lets for a minute ignore all of the evidence and assume that "Troopergate" is much to do about nothing.

Palin is wrong woman at wrong time
It is surely ironic that Garrison Keillor, creator of Lake Woebegone, "the little town that time forgot and the decades cannot improve," where "the women are strong, the men are good-looking, and all the children are above average," has registered his disgust with Sarah Palin, America's new small-town heroine.

Divestment in companies that help Sudan maintain genocide is right. Alaska shouldn't hesitate.

Someone give Sarah her brain back
A lot of Alaskans are thrilled at the national press we've gotten since our governor became McCain's running mate. But I'm starting to long for the day when most Americans wondered if they needed a passport to get here and weren't quite sure what continent we were on but thought it was somewhere in the Pacific close to California.

Too-strict confidentiality of public employee records undermines public trust.

Sarah Palin's got a solid energy record in Alaska. National voters need to hear more than "drill, baby, drill."
EDITORIAL
Gov. Palin has made small steps toward better health care for Alaskans but has yet to achieve significant improvements. Coming Sunday, a look at Palin's record on energy issues.
