Obama's run for president will be cursed by pastor's rants

Barack Obama will never be president of the United States. No, it's not because he is a black man. Obama's relationship with his longtime pastor Jeremiah Wright has doomed his candidacy.

Let me explain why. A couple of weeks ago I was asked to sit on a panel put on by the Alaska Press Club titled "Talking back to talk radio."

Most leftists are not big fans of talk radio or conservative thought. The journalists gathered on this day leaned decidedly left. Several were far left-wing bloggers.

I know what I believe often rankles people. My inbox is full of e-mails from outraged listeners and readers. But it wasn't until this panel session that I fully realized just how angry some get listening to me.

Once I began to talk, many in the crowd started displaying a body language I've never seen before. Some of the far-left bloggers were so incensed, outraged and angered at what I was saying, their bodies began to go into minor convulsions. I am not kidding. What started as squirming turned into full-blown seizures.

Eventually the far left-wing bloggers and journalists were so infuriated they began to gasp and groan. Then the time came when they could no longer control themselves and started yelling at me.

You are wrong, they cried out.

I felt their pain. I know when I watch a left-wing talking head on CNN or Fox News, I can hardly stand it.

Which brings me back to Barack Obama. How is it Obama was able to sit in the pews of Pastor Jeremiah Wright's church for 20 years and stand it?

Didn't Obama cringe when Wright would yell out we live in the U.S. of KKK? Or when Wright would claim the U.S. government created the AIDS virus to kill black people?

In a sermon after the terrorist attacks on Sept. 11, 2001, Wright said: "We bombed Hiroshima, we bombed Nagasaki, and we nuked far more than the thousands in New York and the Pentagon, and we never batted an eye. We have supported state terrorism against the Palestinians and black South Africans, and now we are indignant because the stuff we have done overseas is now brought right back to our own front yards. America's chickens are coming home to roost."

How could anyone who loves this country listen to that nonsense?

Or when Wright said this about black people: "The government gives them the drugs, builds bigger prisons, passes a three-strike law and then wants us to sing 'God Bless America.' No, no, no, God damn America, that's in the Bible for killing innocent people. God damn America for treating our citizens as less than human. God damn America for as long as she acts like she is God and she is supreme."

I don't know about you but I would last about five minutes in Wright's church before I would have to get up and leave. Get up and leave for good.

Do you think when Barack Obama's wife, Michelle, said recently that for the first time in her life she is proud of this country, she harkened back to the day when her pastor said this: "Racism is how this country was founded and how this country is still run! We believe in white supremacy and black inferiority and believe it more than we believe in God."

What anti-American dribble!

Barack Obama claims he is just now realizing what his pastor and longtime friend believes. Which means one of two things: Obama is lying, and knows full well what Wright believes and was OK with it for the past 20 years, or Obama slept a lot in church.

And even if Obama slept through all those sermons, how can he explain the longtime friendship?

Wright baptized Obama's kids and married him and his wife. Wright inspired the title to Obama's book. Obama says he prayed with Wright before deciding to run for president.

Obama may still win the Democratic primary, but thanks to his longtime friend and mentor Jeremiah Wright, he will never be president.
