Top prize was $489 -- though Girton took home $880 because he also caught the second largest silver from a boat, a 17.4-pounder.

The third-year derby ended Monday with 320 tickets sold and 95 fish weighed in.

Indiana angler Adam Schroeder quickly mastered fishing at Homer's Nick Dudiak Fishing Lagoon, landing the second and third largest fish caught from shore -- a 12- and a 12.4-pounder. He earned $651.

Both Girton and Krivitsky, of Homer, won the seniors division too.
