Skiers and snowboarders dropped into Alyeska's new Super Pipe on Jan.. 16, 2009, to warm up and compete in the Alyeska Pipeline Masters competition.

Snowboarders and skiers turned out en masse Saturday, some responding to fresh powder and others to check out the new Alyeska Pipeline Super Pipe.

Iron Dog multimedia

The Iron Dog started in 1984 with a 1000-mile race from Big Lake to Nome. On its 10th anniversary in 1994, officials added another 1,000 miles, from Nome to Fairbanks. This year's field has 35 teams, two drivers to a team.

Ski for Women

The annual Ski for Women was February 7, 2010 at Kincaid Park.

More than 1,500 skiers came out for the annual Alaska Ski for Women at Kincaid on Super Bowl Sunday. Many dressed in elaborate and clever costumes.
