The annual Tour of Anchorage ski race and event happened Sunday March 8, 2009.
2009 World Cross Country Ski Championships
Anchorage's Kikkan Randall stretched her ski across the finish line and broke new ground for U.S. skiing today. Randall, 26, held off Finland's Pirjo Muranen in a photo finish in the Czech Republic to take silver in the world championship sprint, becoming the first US woman to win a world or Olympic medal in cross-country skiing.
2009 U.S. Cross Country Ski Championships
Anchorage hosted the 2009 U.S. Cross Country Ski Championships at Kincaid.
Skiers from across the country competed in the World Youth/Junior Biathlon Team Trials at Kincaid Park.
High School Skiing: Service Snowball
On Saturday, December 6 skiers completed in the Service High School Snowball race.
