Baby Animals

Molly, the Alaska Zoo's snow leopard, gave birth to two babies Tuesday night, but only one is still is alive today, according to zoo director Pat Lampi. Molly became aggressive with the cubs after they were born, so the cubs were removed. One cub died because of complications related to a cleft palate, the zoo said. The other cub is in critical but stable condition, a statement from Lampi said. It is being hand fed from a bottle. Zoo staff will hand raise the cub. It is female and doesn't yet have a name.
