Here's one that's very cool, despite its ordinary name. House Wine comes from K Winery out of Washington. The current 2003 configuration is 59 percent cabernet, 31 percent merlot, 9 percent syrah and 1 percent cabernet franc. You get plenty of clean, black fruit in the nose; a rich, thick and coating palate; and a lengthy, totally satisfying finish. We need more stuff like this. Costs about $10.
