National Guardsmen Compete for Best Warrior Honors

Ten soldiers from across Alaska came together this week on Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson to compete for the title of Alaska Army National Guard's Best Warrior.

The three day competition has a variety of components, including a physical fitness test, live-fire weapons, day and night navigation, cross-country run, obstacle course and written exams.

Two winners from the pool of 10 competitors will progress to a regional competition next year, and those winners will move onto a national competition.
