Take a tour of the only cruise ship regularly scheduled to dock in Anchorage this summer

Anchorage Mayor Ethan Berkowitz formally welcomed the Holland America cruise ship MS Maasdam at its second-ever docking at the Port of Anchorage on Monday. It's currently the only cruise ship regularly scheduled to dock at the port this summer.

The 719-foot-long Maasdam can carry 1,258 passengers and 580 crew members, and boasts a casino, pool, library, shopping and other amenities.

Berkowitz presented the ship's captain, Ane Jan Smit, with a plaque on Monday welcoming the vessel to Anchorage. It first docked at the port on Memorial Day.

The Maasdam's two-week cruise takes passengers from Seattle to Anchorage and back, with stops in Ketchikan, Juneau, Kodiak and others along the way.
