Photos: 2015 Great Alaska Sportsman Show

Green is the color of the season, and April announced its emerald arrival with a springtime tsunami of cash this weekend at the Great Alaska Sportsman Show, where everything from salmon jerky to motor homes can be found for sale at more than 500 vendors spread between Sullivan Arena and Ben Boeke Ice Arena.

On Friday afternoon, the parking lots around the arena ($6 per vehicle) were already operating at capacity, with folks either waiting in line for a spot or taking free shuttle buses from the Midtown Walmart or Northway Mall to the arena. Once there, hundreds of people paid the $11 entry fee ($3 for kids 12 and under) for admission into the largest trade show in Alaska, a wilderness lover's Shangri-la of cubicles and kiosks offering every imaginable outdoor product, gadget, gizmo and experience.

Based on previous years' attendance, more than 20,000 Alaskans will visit the 32nd annual show, which began Thursday and continues through Sunday.
