Alaskans with Scottish roots -- or who just love bagpipe music and feats of strength -- gathered at the Alaska State Fairgrounds in Palmer Saturday for the 2014 Alaska Scottish Highland Games, presented by the Alaskan Scottish Club. From pipes and drums to kilts and cabers, attendees reveled in Scottish culture, awash in a sea of clan tartans. This year marked the summer tradition's 33rd anniversary.
