Photos: Costumed runners compete in Frightening 4K

Back for the third year running, Skinny Raven's Frightening 4K drew more than 800 runners to the streets of Anchorage, many of them dressed in elaborate and decidedly un-aerodynamic costumes.

Pac-Man chasing ghosts; Mario, Luigi and friends; a number of Batmans; devils and even a corpse bride ran through the quiet streets on Saturday morning, competing not only for time but for best costume.

Along the course, candy was thrown to passing runners, and kids could be seen crossing the finish line with bags full of sweets.

Hallidie Wit finished first with a time of 13:47, narrowly beating Jared Kirkham, Nate Graves and Santiago Prosser. Koby Vinson rounded out the top five with a time of 13:58.
