It was raining cats and bears Tuesday at Cheney Lake.

Pounding rain didn't deter runners from Anchorage Christian and Grace Christian, who made two laps around the East Anchorage lake in their afternoon dual meet.

"It was like being in the shower," said ACS senior Elizabeth Balsan, who won the girls 5-kilometer race.

ACS boasted both individual winners, but the Lions and Grizzlies split the team titles.
