Eagle River jumped out to an early lead and hung on for a 6-4 boys hockey win Tuesday evening, Nov. 11, 2014, at Ben Boeke Ice Arena in Anchorage. The game appeared over after one period when the Wolves built a commanding 5-1 lead, scoring seven seconds into the game and tallying a fifth goal in the final minute of the first period. Palmer fought back with three goals in the second period while holding Eagle River scoreless to climb to within 5-4 going into the third period. Eagle River managed to add one goal and revive its defense to hold on for a 6-4 win.
