Harvest season is in full swing at Pyrah's Pioneer Peak Farm on Bodenburg Loop Road in Butte. Customers filled bags with carrots, radishes, greens and many other veggies at the 200-acre pick-your-own operation. For many, it's an annual autumn tradition.

Supervisor Trisha Beames said it was a pretty good growing season despite the hot, dry conditions. Beames expects the business to be operating until the first week of October. Pyrah's, which has been operating as a "u-pick" farm since 1988, will host its annual Fall Harvest Festival, featuring food, music and games, on Saturday, September 26.
