Photos: President Obama visits Seward

President Barack Obama took a trip to Seward on Tuesday, stopping first by Exit Glacier, where he offered observations of climate change and the need to address impacts in Alaska.

Then, he made a stop at a local ice cream and candy shop before hopping on a boat to tour Resurrection Bay and a series of other glaciers that hover around the shores of the bay outside of Seward.

"This is as good a signpost of what we're dealing with when it comes to climate change as just about anything," Obama said from near the foot of Exit Glacier, which has receded by more than a mile over the last two centuries.

"We want to make sure that our grandkids can see this," he added.
