Fun on wheels

THE IVY VAN

Places traveled in Alaska:
Kasilof, Homer, Juneau, Haines, Girdwood, Hope

"We just wrapped up cooking dinner and the sun was setting. I set a little camera on the tripod with a timer and then said 'Let's take a photo together;' I kneeled in the mud and proposed to her. That was the day after our 8-year anniversary and the first night we slept in the van together. It was kind of like starting a new, little chapter." –Eric Booton

"Our big goal is, at some point, to take it up to the Arctic Circle—as far north as we can go." –Brittney Hogan

THE LITTLE, POP-UP CABIN UPON A TRUCK

Places traveled in Alaska:
Hope, Paxson, all over the Chugach, Thompson Pass, Homer, Denali Highway

"In the winter, the first thing I do is start a fire in my wood stove to warm up the cabin. It's way better than putting on frozen boots and clothes. Then, I make hot water, make breakfast burritos and some eggs. I have my Chemex for coffee. I used to skimp and camp and I don't want to do that anymore."  –Andy Moderow
