DIY First Day of School Chalkboard

First day of school pictures are a great tradition, but sometimes it's hard to remember at which grade level each one was taken. This fun DIY is great for parents and kids of any age, and can help you create something that can be reused every year, and can even move with them to college as a dorm door memo board!

Supplies
Raw Wood Board
Chalkboard spray paint
Foamcore or poster board
Chalk

Instructions
1. Lay the foamcore or poster board flat in a well ventilated area (outdoors is best).

2. Place your wooden board flat in the center of the board.

3. Following the instructions on the spray paint, spray an even coat onto the board. Be sure to cover the edges! If needed, add a second coat.

4. Once the board is completely dry, it's ready for you to get creative. Write the grade level, draw a cute doodle and document some memories.
