5,000 will paint the town in Saturday's Color Run

More than 5,000 runners might work up a sweat in a 5-kilometer race Saturday, but they'll smell sweet at the finish line.

The Color Run returns to Anchorage with a race that begins at 9 a.m. at Sullivan Arena. Runners will go out in waves every few minutes.

This year's event is called the Tropicolor World Tour, and it features a section called the Tropicolor Zone that will bathe runners in tropical colors and scents.

Entry fee is $39. Participants can sign up in advance at thecolorrun.com or they can sign up the day of the race at Sullivan Arena from 7-9 a.m.

Runners who are already signed up can pick up their race packets Friday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Kohl's, located at Tikahtnu Commons. Packets can also be picked up from 7-9 a.m. Saturday at Sullivan Arena.
