Smith, Spencer earn bike orienteering victories

Cory Smith and Bill Spencer earned victories Wednesday night in the Arctic Orienteering Club's Bike-O at Kincaid Park.

Smith clocked 1 hour, 2 minutes, 54 seconds to win the long course, which covered 7.2 kilometers and featured 17 controls.

Spencer, sans bike, won the 3.9K, 10-control short course in 50:19, more than two minutes ahead of Steve McKeever.
