Will Ross and Jessie Donahue won the first two races in the Arctic Mountain Bike Trifecta, adding wins in Friday's short-track race at Kincaid Park to victories in Thursday night's hillclimb on the Hillside.
In Friday's competition at Kincaid, the top three men — Will Ross, Jason Lamoreaux and James Stull — were separated by 22 seconds. A dozen men made eight laps around the track, with Ross taking the win with an 11-second margin over Lamoreaux, who in turn was 11 seconds faster than Stull.
On Thursday, racers competed on the single-track trail between the Hilltop parking lot and the Prospect Heights trailhead.
The series concludes with a cross-country race Saturday in Girdwood.
